Cask. Appearance is dark brown, a small foamy head which lasts for a while. Aroma of dark fruit, bread, malts. Taste is bitter dark fruit, raisin, quite malty, medium to full mouthfeel. Good.

Cask at the Three Cups, Bedford. Reddish gold. Looks very thin - insipid really. A bit of natural carbonation fizzes at the top. Coffee, strong malt and a bit of cereal scent. Taste is quite nice: sweet malt with coffee and berry overtones. Bittersweet, slightly tannic finish. The body is indeed thin but it sits well with the overall structure of the beer. This is pretty good.

Cask at the Alehouse, Reading. Reddish copper with a tight cream head - not really looking like a Porter; aroma of floury grain and some red fruit; smooth in the mouth with some slightly sour plummy fruit; and a satisfying finish with a trace of chocolate malts.

500ml bottle from the Pheasantry Brewery Beer Shop. Pale gold colour with white head. Malty aroma. And a slightly sweet taste.

Cask at Angleterre, Helsinki. Colour is clear dark orange with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Fruits, some hops and malts.

From a 500ml bottle on 4/9/2014. Pours a clear light golden with a very big bright white head. The nose features fruit, yeast and some strongbasement notes. In the mouth, there’s some biscuity malt, lots of honey, tropical fruit (mango, passionfruit), and a modest slightly tangy bitterness. Has a medium body and lively carbonation. Aside from a slightly odd aroma, this is pretty good, and a little harshly judged on here imo.

500mL bottle, pours a hazy golden copper with a medium white head. Nose is mushroomy and fairly bland overall. Flavour is fairly fruity, with light bready notes, restrained English hops, and some light caramel. Light, balanced and refreshing. Decent beer.

500mL bottle, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crackery malts and astringent English hops. Flavour brings out English hops upfront, along with crackery malt to balance. Monolithic in its dry English hops. Decent but boring.
