Bottle. Pours slightly cloudy light god with a large white head. Sweet alcohol, yeast, honey, and hay notes in the nose. Sweet, snappy flavor. Lots of lemon citrus, but rather than being sour, it’s very sweet, with a nice hoppy finish. Floral. I like this one.

Bottled Brugs de’ Beertje 04-11-05. A warm golden colour beer, with medium white head, nutty yeasty aroma and present in the flavour. Fine but no great shaker.

Bottled. Pitch black opaque colour, mediumsized brown head. Coffee, chocolate and roasted malts in aroma. Sweet caramel, some plum, dark chocolate and hints of syrup in flavour. One it gets a bit warmer also clove, licorace and some milder spices get through in the flavour. I enjoyed it much.

I have been wanting to try this one for a while now. Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a medium golden color with a large white head. The aroma is sour and tangy with a noted vinegar element. The flavor is sour and tangy with a strong cider vinegar note. The finish is tangy and bitter. Far too much vinegar flavor in this one for my liking.

Bottled. Amber coloured, nice creamy beigeish head. Fruits and plum in aroma, along with some hints of alcoholic sweetness. Flavour is of fruits and caramel, with also strong hops in finish. Very wellbalanced, though quite standard dubbel otherwise.

Clear golden with moderate lace - citrus, oak, flowers in the aroma - bracingly tart up front, with a crisp mouthfeel - quite light in flavor, with some citrus/acidity - a background, lambic-like cheesiness - clean, dry finish - an interesting beer, but I think I prefer the brown sour ales.

A hazy orange beer with a huge white head. The aroma is yeasty and spicy - especially coriander coming thru - a very Belgian nose. The flavor is sweet malty with lots of yeast and fruit, as well as light spicy notes. The end is dry spicy.
