De Brabandere Brewery looks back on a rich history, and looks to the future with equal confidence. The dream cherished by founder Adolphe De Brabandere at the end of the nineteenth century when he laid the foundations for his brewery in Bavikhove has come to fruition in the successful company of today.
Our rich assortment of beers is enjoyed by connoisseurs far beyond our borders.

Brewing was, is, and will continue to be, an art at De Brabandere. Our numerous characterful beers can be considered as our heritage: made with traditional craftsmanship, authentic ingredients and... lots of love. To create unique flavour sensations for you to share with your friends is what motivates us at De Brabandere, day in and day out.

For almost 25 years, between 1990 and 2014, the brewery bore the name Bavik.

Fruchtiger, saurer Geruch.

Test vom 9.9.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 13,3,3,3,11,2 - 4,00

This ale poured a dark orange with a off white head. This beer to the nose is very strong scented with cider vinegar and very ripe fruit. almost fermented ripe fruit. First taste wasthinner than I thought it might be. Sour to taste with the cider vinegar taste coming through slowly. Slightly metallic with a stomach acid flavour to the palate. Very different.

Good yellowish-dense head over very hazy amber beer with an olive shine, pretty carbonated. Very yeasty nose, bit of citrus and - cumin? Sweet with both a little sourish (citrussy) and a little bitterish edge. A bit spicey, difficult to say exactly what - coriander? Also a bit of peach flavour. Medium bodied, quite well-filled really, slick. In the aftertaste, strangely a bit oxydized. Pretty standard Bavikhove, nothing bad. Labelbeer from...?

An unclear pinkish orange beer - the same color as juice from pink grapefruits, with a huge dense pinkish head. The aroma is very sweet with strong raspberry notes, and the flavor is way too sweet for me with notes of artificially fruits and raspberries. And to make it worse the body is thin.

Style 66/70 Need to find a faro! 11.2 oz bottle. Aoroma is tart with notes of oak, fruits, and a little caramel; color is gold with a small yellow-tinged head, that laces nicely as it recedes; flavor is of tart lemons and malt, with an apple ester showing in the background, and a tart finish.
