Description
The Brasserie Artésienne is a craft brewery created in August 2007 in Auchy les Mines. Its beers are always of high fermentation, which mature during a long aging period while respecting the northern brewing tradition. Most of our beers are made with regional raw materials (hops from the Flanders hops cooperative, malt with the "saveur en Nord" label).
Since the summer of 2014, it has been based in Haisnes, where all stages of manufacturing are carried out (creation of recipes, brewing, fermentation, storage, bottling, refermentation). Annual production is around 1,200 hl.

Bouteille 33 cl achetée au Arden Brew Fest. BB 02/2015.

Bottled (thanks to my parents!). Yellowish colour, small white foamy head. Aroma is weedy, some herbs, mild zest and some sweet notes. Flavour is very sweetish herbal with some mild berries and sweet malts as well. Balanced and not that bad. Actually the most weedy beer I have had...

75cl bottle sample @ Arden BrewFest.

Draft sample @ Arden BrewFest.

75cl bottle sample @ Arden BrewFest.

Bottle shared at Bruce’s 30th Birthday Bash - CBC Clerkenwell, London. Thanks to Ian for a bit more Biere de Garde! Pours lightly fuzzy yellow with a fine, white cream head. Doughy malt nose. Dry pale malts in the flavor, light cereal and dough, some white sugar. Medium bodied with high, massaging carbonation. Light to medium sweet finish with dry dough and hay. OK.

75cl bottle from a small shop in Godewaarsvelde, French Flanders. - Wonderful aromatic hops in the nose with crisp citric bitterness. Strong grapefruit hop notes on a basis of light malts with a tender, honey-like sweetness. Strong bitter finish. - Very nice IPA from France.

Medium snowwhite head over pale golden, finely carbonated beer. Fresh, citrussy-hoppy nose; more as USA aromahops than EU ones. Slightly soapy, quite fragrant. Faintly peanuts waft. Again rather fresh-tasting; bit citrussy, again somewhat soapy-perfumey. Refreshing for sure. Rather light body; refreshing indeed, but also not much beef to the MF. Nice try, worth trying.
