(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 2 Aug 2009) Cloudy orange colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity nose with notes of citrus, citrus peel and fresh grassy hops. Malty, fruity taste with grass, citrus, grapefruit and a generous, grassy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, balanced sweetness. Very nice beer with a fresh, fruity, grassy character. Lovely balance, excellent beer.

Tap, Café Morshuis. Orange blonde color, cloudy. Earthy bitter flavor with hints of melon and raspberry. Hints of raspberry and metal in the aroma. Metal aftertaste. Diacetyl. Not good.

Huge dense, dark-beige head, very stable over red-brown beer. Chocolate and other dark malts, vaguely lactic; sweet cacao. Dry-bitterish dark malts, with a quite bitter finish. Again chocolate, minimum sweetness. Finish is pure spicy bitterness and cacao powder. Warming up, it acquires something vinous. Pretty well-bodied, quite slick; alcohol discreet but there. Definitely not bad at all!

Bottle: Hazy, chestnut-amber coloured, big - slowly collapsing - fluffy beige head; caramelly-toasty nose with a subtle fruitiness and a distinctive acidity in the background; moderate to robust sweet-bitter flavour, accompanied by a light acidity, medium bodied; vinous notes and a tinge of alcohol in the drier sweet-toasty finish, followed by a bitter aftertaste. Not bad, but not well rounded...........

draft at Arendsnest in Amsterdam - Pours hazy orange with a one finger lingering white head. It has a very herbal malt aroma. The taste is sweet malt with citrus and herbal notes and some mild hpos. It’s medium bodied and has a pleasant, fine carbonation. This beer is tasty and easily quaffed.

On tap. Pours a slightly cloudy gold w/ a white head. The aroma has sweet notes of fruits and a touch of alcohol. Flavor is sweet throughout, never really seems like an 9.6% beer.
