355 ml can. Pours a deep black with short tan head that settles quickly. Aromas of sweet bourbon, graham cracker, caramel, brine and sweet slick roasted malts. Flavors follow same, with emphasis on caramel and a lot of salt. Nice, but too much salt detracts from and clouds the other nice flavors.

ABV: 6.0%. Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, pineapple, barrel, vinous, light wood. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, pineapple, canned pineapple juice, grapes, barrel, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20220122]

Barely hazed, amber colour with a frothy light-beige head, average retention and a thin coat covering the brew. Big vinegar sour nose at first (balsamic, apple cider), then calming down a little and showing hints of cherries and vanilla from the oak. The taste has a building sourness, that does not go up in a crazy fashion, but just gets up slowly, lasting a long time. The Montmorency cherry notes are well-blended the whole way. A nicely brewed sour ale that represents well the Red Flanders style.
