Hazed but tiny, transparent particles, with a frothy, bubbly white cap, decent retention and a big bubbly ring on top of the brew is left. Wild ale sourness in the nose. Full of it. Hint of apricots and vanilla. The same sourness with the funk, a little fruitiness and mild tart left on the tongue. A little easier to drink, than to smell.

Oooo, that nose, vanilla, raspberry, with raspberry sourness. First sip you get that big aserbic sour that SP does. Second sip smooths thing out, lots of that raspberry, and vanilla, general sweetness that helps balance that sour bite. Not much like any Flemish red I've had before, but who cares. So good. Bottle LCBO.

A hazed blonde saison with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, nice fruity malt with light Brett, light lactic notes, pleasant berries, nice. In mouth, a nice tart mix of ground cherry, light lactic notes, light acidity, very nice. On tap at brewery.

473mL can, pours an opaque bright pink with a large, quickly-receding white head -- yep, looks like a smoothie. Smells like a smoothie too, with loads of strawberries, banana, vanilla, a little coconut, and some oak barrels still detectable beneath all that. Flavour is impressive, bringing out loads of fruit puree -- mostly strawberry and banana, with a hint of coconut and vanilla, and then the oak barrels take over with a bit of wild yeast. This is the only smoothie sour I've had so far that still retains sour beer character and complexity at its core. While the fruit and other adjuncts are overpowering, the oak barrels and funk add another dimension. Fun stuff and well-made.

On tap at Small Pony, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma is dry and earth, showcasing the buckwheat I guess, with plenty of oak and a bit of wild yeast. Flavour is very buggy and oaky, with lots of wood from the barrels, complex wild yeast, and an earthy graininess from the buckwheat. Complex and well-balanced, with lower acidity than usual for Small Pony. Very good.

Bottle pour at Small Pony, pours a hazy bright red with a small white head. Aroma reveals the cranberries upfront, with the raspberries further back, and the usual oaky, bugginess that permeates these sours. Flavour nicely blends nicely tart raspberries and cranberries upfront, with oak, some wild yeast, and moderate funk. As usual, the acidity level is through the roof, which definitely detracts a bit from what would otherwise be an excellent beer. Enjoyable in small quantities with a side of TUMS.
