About
Foam. It's always been an unconscious calling like drifting into a cumulus cloud bank on a sun-drenched day, or collapsing in a frothy curl of a breaking wave. Foam; it's natural beauty that rises up and is here and gone in a moment in time. I have spent my working life in foam, beer foam that is, brewing beer, conjuring up mixtures of malt and hops to ferment into a crowning moment of beer. Great beer has always sat under foam. Foam. It's not one ingredient that gives stability; it's many interwoven to create a structure of strength pouring out visual excitement. As I sit for a time, I enjoy that moment. All that remains is the lacing that adorns the empty glass and the making of a great memory. Until next time, see you under the Foam...

Can to tulip.
Appearance: pale orange cardboard haziness with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet pears, white grape and some pine on top with a light herbal and mixed citrusy hoppy note in the middle then some light clean malts
Flavor: mixed on up the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to bittersweet quality and adds in a little bit of grapefruity hop tones; finishes grapefruity, pear-like and white grapey
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness and a touch of some hop assertiveness but nothing overbearing
Overall: nice enough NEIPA I'd have again.

Appearance: glossy yellow to copper color with no head and no lace
Aroma: apricot; punchy vinous and some sweet wood; super dried citrusy peel; some lemongrass
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a big white wine/white grapey quality; finishes extremely dry with some apricot sweetness
Texture: medium bodied; this is a sipper; some smoothness but huge amount of vinous harshness definitely slaying the tongue
Overall: this beer is more geared towards wine drinkers.

Appearance is shown in the pic.
Aroma: clean cracker malts with a floral hop tone, slight yeasty sweet behavior and a little bit of herbal tones
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine malty floral sweet quality; finishes crisp, clean with a speck of floral sweetness
Texture: light to medium bodied; very sessionable; pretty smooth along the tongue with a great dry hopping that feels done exactly as it should be
Overall: a very nicely done pilsener Foam is calling a Keller pilsener (I guess a cross between a Kellerbier and a Czech pilsener?) Sure, I'll just go with it and would gladly accept another pour of this on down the line

Aroma: citrusy hop tones, some herbal then lime with a crackery malt backbone
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to light zesty toned quality underscored by some malts; finishes zesty and citrusy with a little dry speck
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; good smoothness with a little snappy pop of that zest over the tongue but not enough to warrant any distracting qualities
Overall: seems like a good New Zealand pilsener to come back to.

Aroma: dark bread, dark fruits, subtle notes of black coffee, cocoa powder and crisp sweet earthiness
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a mighty fine sweet malty and dark fruity quality; finishes the same with a light touch of dryness
Texture: medium bodied, slightly sessionable; even keeled smoothness to the dryness (that coffee note I had earlier makes me wonder if that's what's making this beer a bit drier than expected....hmmmm...)
Overall: pretty nicely done Doppelbock even if it is a bit drier than expected.

Aroma: piney sweet to orange sweet hops with some mixed citrusy hops from underneath then some clean caramel malts
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to an old school sort of bittersweet quality; finishes that same way
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, some smoothness and a little bit of some hop assertiveness nipping the tongue a bit
Overall: works for me as an old school IPA and what's nice about this is that it's cleaned up a bit, something it has going for it.
