--- Beer merged from original tick of Totally Roasted on 28 Oct 2015 at 23:01 - Score: 8. Original review text: Damn nice! Great balanced sweet/tart apple complexity w/ light-med cinnamon/toasted nutty flavors. Semi-dry/light tart finish. Very smooth

Sample at Winking Lizard. This Cider pours a crystal clear pale yellow color with a minimal white head that disappears quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lacing. Fruity aroma of apples and citrus. Medium body with flavors of mildly tart apples, mild spice and a bit of malt. The finish is champagne-like with an apple cider aftertaste. Decent overall.

16 oz. can from Binny’s. Packaging on this seems too mainstream "Smith Forge-ish" for a craft cider. Let’s see: Pours nice and fizzy, with no head after pouring, just a light yellow color with agreeable fizz. Smell has some nice apple juice character and alcohol note, but I also think there’s an edge of sulfides. Still, it has a straight-ahead apple cider taste, a little sweet, followed by a tart apple edge, and no chemical processing notes like so many megabrewed ciders.

Sampled from a 16 oz can this cider poured a yellow-gold colro with a trace soapy white head that faded instantly and left no lacing. The aroma was tart and crisp apple with a hint of ginger. The flavor was dryish and very tart with sour apple, ginger and barely any peach. Long finish. LIght body and undercarbonated. Disappointing.

Sampled at Lagunitas Beer Circus. I think I caught more of the vanilla and cinnamon than pecan in this, but I am not usually one to enjoy nut flavors. Definitely a spicy little cider, and there is a bit of more solid texture like it had picked up some firm pecan flesh. Just enough to set it pleasantly apart from most any other cider.
