can - Pours pale yellow and smells of tart apples. The flavor is lightly sweet and tart. Soft carbonation. As with the other Vander Mill cider I’ve had it avoids the overly sweet character of so many ciders. That’s generally a good thing. I’m just puzzled by pecans and cinnamon they say it was made with. I had a hard time smelling or tasting those ingredients. It’s a good cider, but maybe some batches are too light on the added ingredients.

16 oz can. pop to yield a sulfur smell that gets better when poured. yes, fruity happy bullshit. taste is first a tad vinegar but that goes away to yield a rather dry fruity taste with a tad of heat. $3 at vintage. yes, not too bad I think. perhaps a little wine-like on the finish.

can - Pours pale gold with a tart apple aroma. The flavor is lightly sweet, definitely on the dry side as hard ciders go. It’s a pleasant drink that’s refreshing and finishes dry.

Big 16 oz can from vintage. Pour is orangish and clear. Taste is fairly dry. Not repulsive, just fairly dry. Does have some fruit in there to ease it up a little. Not bad, seems pretty decent for a high alky cider. Quite fizzy on the tongue. Yes, not bad as the session continue. At times, comes across like an alky pop malt beverage. Yes, not bad overall. A tad of vinegar in thar at times near the finish.

Yellow with no head. Fizzy body. Candied pecans, roasted nuts, tart acidic apple notes. Finishes sour and lightly nutty. Real enjoyable and interesting cider.

Draft - Smells just like apple pie. Clear pale yellow. Light sweet and tart apples with the cinnamon bringing up the finish. Smells very nice, but tartness and acidity take out the warmth of roast and spice.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale pale yellow with some light carbonation. Aromas of pear and white grape juice. Flavor is zingy. Lots of pear and tart edginess. Clean on the palate.

Draft at VM. Clear light gold with little carbonation and aromas of cider and candied pecans. Flavor is heavy with candied pecans and apple. It is good but the nuts are a bit heavy handed.

On tap at VM. Pours a clean light gold with aromas of ginger and apples. Lots of ginger. Flavor is sweeter than the base cider and the ginger is aggressive and makes things interesting.
