Gekocht bij de Delhaize van Dendermonde op 18-03-2024.
Thuis mijn smaakpapillen aan het werk gezet op 15-06-2024.
Tripel Bertha is een product van het Brussels Beer Project uit Brussel, het is eigenlijk hun ‘Grosse Bertha’ die nu vergist is met een Duitse ‘Hefeweizen’ gist. BBP ontstond in 2013 onder leiding van twee enthousiastelingen, Olivier en Sébastien. Ze streven ernaar om de productie van hun bieren exclusief Brussels te maken.
TRIPEL BERTHA is een helder goud-geel bier dat een normale hoeveelheid wit moussig schuim produceert, het blijft sterk aan je glaswand kleven en blijft goed stabiel. Echter na een tijd heb je nog slechts een fijn dun laagje schuim op je bier staan. Ook zie je wat gistdepot op de bodem van de fles en zie je een normale hoeveelheid fijne CO2 belletjes naar boven borellen.
HET AROMA:
Zoetig, hopbitter, citrus, mout, wat florale hop.
DE SMAAK:
Licht zoetig, hopbitter, citrus, mout.
HET MONDGEVOEL:
Volle body, wat bitterdroog, een gladde textuur. Wel een prikkelend koolzuurgas.
DE NASMAAK:
Zoetig, suiker, citrus, mout, kruidnagel, het hopbittere vloeit lang uit.
HET TOTAALGEVOEL:
Een harmonieus bier.
HET VERDICT:
Tripel Bertha is een witbier. De hefeweizen gist zorgt voor verwarring, ergens heeft dit bier wel iets weg van een tripel, wat hoppig ook, maar op het eind vond ik het toch richting pils gaan.

Lichtbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet en frutiig met iets van tropisch fruit zoals mango en ananas, samen met wat dennen en sinaasappel. Heel goed.

Cloudy beige to light blond beer, small creamy white head, unstable, falls down quickly, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: nice, juicy,t tropical fruits, papaya, mango, lovely! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: good bitterness, fruity, a little oxidized, malty, grains, bit sweet, citrus notes, a bit resinous, grassy. Aftertaste: nice and fruity, good bitterness, tropical fruits, grapefruit, juicy, nice stuff, more grapefruit! Really like it!

Clear very dark amber to red brown beer, small creamy white to light beige head, unstable, falls down quickly, to a small white rim to the side of the glass. Aroma: lovely, caramel, fruity, hint of banana, pears, apples, acidic impression, earthy, a hint of vinegar, tobacco, a bit spicy. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: oooh nice, lovely stuff, good acidity up front, fruity, some vinegar, very fruity, malic acid, green apples, a bitter touch, red berries, very nice! Aftertaste: sourish, dry, a little bitter, green apples, nice, fruity, dry finish, very pleasant Flemish red ale!
