Flaska från demolen. BBD oct-15.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, nr Gent, Belgium. This was consumed at home, Friday 30th January 2015 Pours gold with a white head. Reasonably bitter beer, light maltiness, a little fruity, a bit of a tropical edge, the finish is dry. Ok, like it but Loz likes it more, not as good as Brasserie de la senne beers. Batch "T"? (On Cap) Nice rich hazy amber and copper coloured body with a deep ruby and violet tint - very nice, all with a microfoamed two centimetre tall light brown head - great looking. Aroma of toasted malt, pit fruits, earth, caramel, candy and some noticeable stone fruits. Medium-bodied; Earthy malt up front with a lot of figs and prunes coupled with a noticeable hoppy element and some very minor sour yeast, almost brett-like flavours at the end. Aftertaste shows a touch of bitterness from the earthy malt, but a relatively sweet flavour and still complex from the sugars, malt and hop elements. Overall, a surprisingly nice beer (given some of the reviews here) that shows a bunch of complexity and some solid flavours throughout. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Delices et Caprices in Bruxelles, Belgium on 19-August-2013 for €2,80 sampled at home in Washington on 09-January-2014 right after booking the next trip to Belgium - next weekend!

330ml bottle from drinkmonger. Pours dark brown, massively over-carbonated 4 inch head, from pouring half the bottle out! When it settles, yeasty and roasted aromas are there, light pine. Taste has some chocolate, and light sherbet. Not great.
