500ml bottle at Fox & Ferret Riccarton, Christchurch. Pours a cloudy light yellow with little head. Sweet nose. Pleasant bitterness, very refreshing.

Pours dark with a brown beige head. Aroma is quite heavy, has coffee, roasted malts, bit if alcohol bites. Taste has some nice toffee, chocolate, roast malts. Dark fruits and coffee. Bitter chocolate. Aftertaste is long with plenty of roast bitterness. Very nice actually.

Pours clear amber, bit of foam there. Nice looking. Aroma is sweetish, some fruits, not really hoppy. Feels a bit old, so should have drinken this earlier. Taste has mild hops, bit of fruits, rather malty beause hops are getting fainter with time. Good and tasty drinking but I imagine I need to rerate if I can try it fresh.

Black with a beige head. Aroma is slightly burnt malts, chocolate, earth, with a touch of vanilla. Medium bodied. Flavor is dirty earth hops, malt, roasted coffee, chocolate. Slightly dry finish with a little sweetness. Nothing complex with this one but a good brew.

Pours copper with a large fading head.Nose shows prunes, milk chocolate, soft coffee notes, dried fruit, and more chocolate. Pretty amazing-smelling.More coffee and cocoa as flavours along with hot booze, almost cognac-like, and some golden syrup..Carbonation is insanely high.

(On tap) Clear straw with good white head. Nice aroma with lots of citrus and hints of pine. Light body, good carbonation. Foretatse is citrus with hints of biscuity malt. A nice bitterness develops and stays around for a long finish. A fine pilsner.

Bottled@EBF 2008. Slightly hazy orange colour with a small white head. Aroma is candysugar, some sweet malts, mild grains and a bit herbal. Flavour is grass, candysugar, mild alcohol sweetnes along with some toffee. Quite bitter finish.

Bottled@EBF 2008. Golden colour, white foamy head. Aroma is grassy, floral, bready malts along with some citrus and herbs. Flavour is is a bit nectary with citrus, bready malts and some caramelly notes.
