Half on tap at The Southerner, London. Crystal clear, amber-brown body. No head. Little aroma, fresh smell of hard water and sweetness. Flashes of caramel malts in flavour. Rather lively carbonated. More refreshing than pleasing in taste (01.05.2008).

Half pint on tap served far too cold at The Southerner, Temple, London. Shining golden body with a few white patches on the top. Great laceworks on the glass. Hoppy aroma. Refreshing hoppy taste with dry, earthy malts behind. Clean palate. Much more hops in this one compared to what they call pilsener in Norway. With a better serving temperature this one could have been even more flavoursome (01.05.2008).

(On tap) Clear, golden with an off-white head that leaves some laces. Rather neutral aroma - a whiff of malt perhaps. Medium body with a good, clean, malt base, some flowery notes and a fairly solid bitterness. A very clean and distinct Bohemian style pilsener SO far away from the traditional, sticky NZ lager. 250108

(On tap) Clear, pale golden with a small, white head. Weird aroma of fruit bubblegum. Thin body, sharp chemical and artificial fruit notes. Also somewhat astringent, chemical finish. Supposedly an apricot wheat? 250108

On tap at Speight’s bar, Temple. Sweetish malt aroma. OK in mouth, bit too sweet. Decent tingly hop on finish. Hop had a sting. Malt is a little syrupy.

On tap at Speight’s bar, Temple. Pale gold, lasting off white head. Hop is quite distinctive. Interesting nettley hop. OK in mouth, bit of sherbert. Hop is quite biting. Good beer. Nettle/cat’s pee from the sauvin hops. Cool.
