330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Murky looking brown-amber, brief fizzy head which only lasted two seconds. Mmmmm...is something up with this beer? Aroma is very subdued for a Belgium ale but with caramel malts, spice and some fruitness notable. Not looking hopeful. Medium bodied, slight stickiness and a high carbonation. Taste is good with sweet malts, caramel, nuts, pear, yeast, tea, some alcohol warmth on the way down. Still even here I feel the flavours maybe subdued considering the reviews below. I stored the beer well and it has an expiry date of 2025 so who knows, I can only review what's in front of me!
