Bottiglia. All'olfatto si esprimono sentori di speziato. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata e il modo in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il cappello di schiuma cremosa ha una buona tenuta, è persistente e termina con merletti sul bordo del bicchiere. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana fine. Il liquido è di aspetto velato. La carbonazione è bassa, persistente ed insistita. Il colore è ambrato. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è contenuto. La forza gustativa è elevata e la durata è buona. Il retrogusto è intenso. In bocca l'aroma trova tutte le caratteristiche di caramello, miele, cereali, frutta secca, pane tostato, frutta disidratata, caldo e alcol presente.

Many bottles at various locations throughout the years. Well-balanced aroma is malty, caramel, toffee, nuts, raisins, dried fruits, touch of chocolate, butterscotch. Flavour is sweet with a very smooth finish. Body is again quite smooth and nicely medium to full. Very earthy, rich and well-balanced.

Pours a hazy amber/brown with a big off-white head. Aroma of malts, yeast, caramel, dark fruits, nuts, spices. Like the Westmalle Dubbel quite heavy on carbo. A classy brew, like its big brothers.

Pours a murky copper/dark brown with a frothy white head. Aroma of malts, ripe fruits, caramel, nuts, walnut, yeast, figs, spices. Flavour is malty sweetness, caramel, a bit sugary. Just like the Rochefort 6 this has quite lively carbonation, with a relatively dry finish. Nice, remarkably balanced beer. A bit heavy on the toffee sweetness for my taste though.

Figs, raisins, rich and strong

Im Aroma weinig und fruchtig, dazu etwas malziges Karamell, süßlich und eine leichte, schöne Buttrigkeit. Im Mund besticht das 8er durch einen vollen Karamell- und dunklen Fruchtgeschmack. Dazu wie in der Nase eine schöne Buttrigkeit. Trotz des hohen Alkoholgehaltes weder zu süß, noch sehr schwer. Aufgrund seiner betörenden Fruchtigkeit ein charaktervolles Bier und trotz seines Alkoholgehaltes durchaus süffig. Gefällt mir gut.

Аромат весьма сладкий с легкой ноткой кофе. Пивная пена с большими пузырями быстро опадает. Вкус слегка кисловат с легкой постоянной горечью. Чувствуется карамель,сухофрукты возможно ягоды. Послевкусие сложное, есть постепенный переход из горячи в сладость с совсем легкой кофейной ноткой. В целом классный Бельгийский Эль.
