Bottle at Hops, Crewe. Pours golden amber with a medium sized frothy off-white head. There’s banana, malts and yeast in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet and juicy with a creamy texture, plus just a trace of underlying bitterness. Flavour is a heady combination of malts, herbs, spices, cloves and orange peel. Hints of ginger and alcoholic strength come later, leading to a dry and boozy finish. This is rather nice – an excellent tripel.

0.33 l bottle. Dark brown color with a white head. Caramel, fruits and tofee in the complex aroma. Rich fruity,nutty and malty taste. Just as beer was meant to be.

0.33 bottle. Hazy, brown-amber colored with thin head. Malts, sugar, and fruits in aroma. Pretty much the same taste that you expect after smelling it. Good beer.

Bottle shared at home in Alkmaar. Pours opaque golden with a thick white head. Nose is candi, citric notes, esters. Taste is sweet, malty, boozy, estery, sugary. Closes with a dry, boozy finish, it’s got a light body and average to high carbonation. Too much booze and sugary-estery character for me.

Still plenty of pop on this one. Rich stewed fruits, berries, mild toffee, brown bread, toasted sugars. No oxidation noted. Great stuff.
