My 101st Tripel rating on RateBeer and only now am I told I'm spelling it wrong. Bottle, 8C. Slightly cloudy gold with a large meringue-like white head that lasts very well. Aroma is floral with dough, white pepper, orange zest -- a little bit Panettone. First bitter, then sweet then bitterness returns with spices (grains of paradise? pepper? coriander?, vanilla?), booze and zest. A little bit of marzipan in the middle along with some cakey bread. Quite sweet but dries out a bit at the end. Good to very good with some character. Worth a few visits.

--Bottled, from Systembolaget-- Hazy golden, mid sized head. Aroma of grass marzipan. Dry with medium body and firm, crisp mouthfeel. White bread, grass, marzipan. Mid bitter finish. Elegant and mildly peppery.

330ml Bottle - Hazy golden/light amber with a foamy head. Pear, melon, ginger, soap all feature in the interesting and rather enticing aroma. Melon, peach, herbs, orange and hints of yeasty spice in the taste.

Bottle (7/23/24) pour from Total Wine & More, Burlington. It's a hazy dark amber with TONS of effervescent sparkle, 1/2-finger width crackling tan head with excellent retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong dark fruit, fig, green apple; lemon as it warms. Taste is strong dark fruit, caramel, fig, rock candy. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thin, frothy texture, average carbonation, vaguest alcohol warmth and finish as taste. Overall, good complexity and balance. Glad I finally got around to trying it.
