Bottle courtesy of bard, thanks! Muddy brown, huge beige head with good retention. Aroma of Christmas trees! Bitter edge with decent caramel, balanced and interesting.

22oz bottle pours a mostly transparent, deep, ruby, copper amber with a very frothy, creamy, soft white head. Looks awesome. Nose is fairly mild, lightly floral, crisp maltiness, some fall fruits. Flavor is sweet, malty, the kind of amber malts in a good Marzen that make you think of dried leaves. Some mild, well balanced, earthy bitterness too. Nothing bracing, just enough to cut the sweetness and round things out. Medium bodied, dry finish. While no one is going to jump out of their chair for this and while it may not be highly sought after, but you can tell it is exceptionally crafted. Easy to drink with good flavor.

22oz bottle pours a hazy orange with a frothy, white head. Nice, spicy aroma, cloves, orange peel, yeast, perfume. Flavor is where the rye really shines through, sweet, spicy, yeast, a little clove, honey. Medium bodied, lightly dry.

22oz bottle pours a transparent, orange amber with a thin, creamy white head. Aroma is great, like Hopslam but not boozy, earthy, zesty citrus, pine. Flavor is zesty hops, hoppy, pine, soap, earthy. Medium bodied, lightly bitter, lightly soapy finish. Great hop aroma and flavor.

Wash. DC tasting. hazy golden, white head. aroma, full on rye goodness, sweet and some spices, strawberry like nose, pureed fruit like apricot. flavors, plenty of rye, light spicy mouthfeel is thick with the Saison yeast being a tad drown in the whole rye aspect of the beer. Mouthfeel is grainy with some mild caramel malts for a dry finish.

Wash. DC tasting. golden, white head. aroma, nice use of the hop, adding a nice aromatic herball touch, lots of pine needle/forest goodness with underlying citrus. flavors, great use of the chinook bringing out a solid serving of pine/citrus with lingering herbs, touch of spices, and malts. Even at 6.5% this one has a nice lasting warming mouthfeel. Lots on the citrus side with enough herbal elements.
