(swing top bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a short, slightly off-white foamy head. Medium-sweet honey-like and grainy malt aroma with spicy hops in the background. Bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, pleasantly smooth carbonated mouthfeel. Malty and herbal hoppy taste with a honey-ish fruity tinge; dry and bitter, moderately spicy and herbal hoppy finish. Good Keller-/Landbier.

(swing top bottle) Clear, chest bnut colour with a fluffy off-white foamy head, leaving some lace-work. Sweet, toast-malty aroma with resiny hops and a touch of barnyard. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, moderate carbonation. Robust malt-accented taste with caramel and a rather strong alcoholic note in the finish. Aromatic but not perfectly balanced Bock.

Flip-top bottle: Clear, chestnut coloured, bigger fluffy, lacing off-white head; moderate sweet-malty nose with a distinctive "woody" hioppy touch; delicate sweet-flavour, a bit alcoholic, medium-bodied; sweet finish with a burning, brandy-like aftertaste. Not too well balanced, the alcohol is a bit too present..................

Small, yellow-amberish head over deep mahogany beer with some orange highlights. Sweet & smoked nose, slightly salty-meaty (or fishy - smoked mackerel?) but quite restrained. OTOH, an aroma of smoked honey, if that’s feasible - honey-cured ham, perhaps? Bit of Oolong tea as well. Tea (Oolong/Souchong), tea marmalade with no sugar; slight, restrained smokiness, smokesalt; fruity even with slightly bitter oranges. Warming up, I get a point of diacetyl. Quite refreshing, a bit as ice(smoked)tea, but not much depth nor body. Then, it’s only 4.9%. Nice, easy (introduction?) Rauch. For the cautious but willing novices (big grin). And another - bang! - smoked - pfffff! Danke, Sebastian!

Draught, as Fischer Schwarzbier. Black colour. Small grey head. Roasted flavour with a hint of liquorice. The aftertaste has some liquorice and is dominated by a late roast barley bitterness. Quite typical Schwarzbier, but not among the best. 7%? Certainly did not taste it.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Golden coloured, small lacing, slowly diminishing white head; clean deep grainy (doughy) sweet nose with a herbal hoppy touch; robust bitter-sweet flavour, low carbonation; dry, a bit barnyardy, grainy-malty finish with a lingering bitterness. Well crafted "rural" beer !
