Aroma of smoked ham, not as sharp as Heller Rauchbier, but softer and creamier. Delightful smoky flavor with some raw bitterness, and, surprisingly, cream. Medium bodied and well balanced. Long smoky bitter aftertaste. You can still taste the beer after half and hour or so. Really excellent Rauchbeer, absolutely worth a try, but I will not rate it as high as Omhper and Oakes. But the 4.0 is well deserved. This tiny brewery in the Franconian countryside earns the attention of every serious beer drinker.

Amber color, 4,9% on the label. Malty, cake dough and caramel aroma. Some barnyard smell. Malty flavor, some hopbitterness, but also some cake dough sweetness. Long bitter finish, slightly metallic. Odd beer, the flavor doesn't fit with the aroma.

Dark brown color, small head, vanishing quickly. Heavy maltaroma. Full bodied. Sweetish beer, heavy maltiness and some licorice. Apple fruitiness. Long sweetish bitter aftertaste. Heavy bockbeer, not perfect, but very nice to drink.

Small but sustained frothy head. Milky banana aroma. Herbal bitter flavor. Some banana and orange fruitiness. Bitter aftertaste.

Fischer Whiskybier dunkel, vom Faß auf dem Berliner Bierfestival 2019. Laut Braumeister ein Doppelbock, der mindestens ein Jahr im Whiskyfaß gelagert wurde. - Dunkles Rotbraun. - In der Nase Mokka, Schokolade, eine ganz leichte Whiskynote, milde Zitronenschale. - Sämig dunkelmalzig mit feiner Mokkanote, zarter Frucht (Weißwein), dezenter Whiskynote. Feine, mild orangenfruchtige Hopfenherbe. Für einen Doppelbock beinahe schlank und schwerelos. Äußerst rundes, gediegenes Bockbier mit sehr feiner Whiskynote. Außergewöhnlich. (2.8.2019.)

Tap. Hazy dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is earthy, red berries, caramel, chocolate, rustic, syrup. Taste is berries, caramel, syrup, leather, a bit sweet. Oily mouthfeel. Quite nice!

Tap at Franconian Beer Festival 2019. Cloudy orange-gold with a thick head. Nose is wheat malt, clove, orange, melon. Sweet, lots of stone fruits in the flavor, also melon and hints of tropical fruit, peaches. Hugely fruity and flavorful.

Tap at Franconian Beer Festival 2019. Pours a pretty, clear orange-red color. Nose is bacon and smoke, with malts, some caramel. Flavor is bready malt, caramel, bacon, oranges, the finish has tingly, peppery hops with some sulfur. Lovely balance and all-around drinkability.

Tap at Franconian Beer Festival 2019. Cloudy orange color with a nice, pillowy head. Nose is biscuits, cream, grains, lemon. Spicy hops, crisp malt, bready and herbal some lemon. Rich and satisfying.
