Bottle from HoTM. It pours hazy chestnut brown with a frothy off-white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, toasty, cacao, nutty, dried fruits, earth and fruit cake. The taste is dry, toasty, nutty, earth, spice, wood, cacao, cereal, touch of pithy citrus, light dried fruits and grass with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Decent malty lager action.

Bottle from 'The Trembling Madness'. Pours a murky dark amber colour with a reddish hue and a large throthy off-white head. Aromas of grains, toasty bread and caramel. Bottle online from 'The Trembling Madness'. Pours a hazy amber colour with a large thick creamy white head. Aromas of bananas, cloves, bread, wheat, spice and a little bubblegum and lemon. Taste has the same notes from the aroma but with stronger notes of bubblegum. Fairly light bodied with a smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Nice refreshing above average Hefeweizen.

Pours pale golden with a bit of haziness: still trasparent though. Quite big, large-bubbled head shows good retention and some lacing. Average intensity in the aroma: cereal and lightly crackery malts, a touch of hay, a touch of fresh grassiness; all bordered by a sweetish-fruity feel where i can't really pick up a specific fruit (apple maybe). Taste is medium sweet and medium to low in bitterness. Overall this is possibly a tad sweeter than your usual zwickl/keller, but still nicely balanced, with a semi-dry finish. Taste notes follow the aroma: good enough definition. Light bodied with average carbonation, resulting in a simple but decently lively feel. Nothing wrong here and overall quite enjoyable. I was much more impressed by their dunkel though.

Pours dark amber to light red, semi-hazy. A couple of fingers of a dense and stable slightly off-white head. Good persistence and excellent lacing. Quite vivid and well defined/clean aroma shows caramel and nutty malts, ripe red fruits and a kind of tea-like/leafy hop bitterness. Smells like autumn. Taste notes follow the aroma closely, perhaps in a slightly less impressive but still good intensity and definition. Overall this is medium to high sweet and medium bitter, with a slight sweet edge in the mouth and a balanced, semi-dry finish, with a leafy hops aftertaste. Light to medium bodied with low to medium, fine carbonation. Feels quite smooth but also kind of creamy/soft. A very good beer.

Update march 2025: had it a couple of times after the first review and it felt much less impressive. Still very much an easy drinker as per style, not that creamy or soft. A little rough around the edges. Taste notes still more or less as per original review.

Bottle at home. It pours clear yellow with a faint haze and a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh and grassy, herbal, seaweed, salted cracker and straw. The taste is firmly dry, crisp, salty cracker, grassy, herbal, doughy white bread, hint of custard tart and straw which drys through the finish. Medium body and moderate+ foamy carbonation. Really well out together. Fresh interesting and moreish. Very enjoyable.
