Bottle picked up from the brewery and consumed at home on a very warm August day, Sunday 20th August 2023 listening to Katy J Pearson - Willow's Song (3 different mixes). We had Pork Souvlaki with Greek Salad and Tsatsiki. Walked to Hutt'n today. Pours clear amber with hardly any head and not many bubbles. Whilst it tastes like it has a little bit of oomph, it doesn't taste 14%. Sweetness throughout and perhaps a little oakiness, whiskey is more subtle than expected, a little bit of vanilla. Quite good but a little bit too sweet.

Relativ dunkel für ein Pale Ale. Geruch süß, Trockenfrüchte, Likör, Nadelholz. Geschmacklich ähnlich. Zitrusfrüchte, Maracuja, Mango etc. vorhanden, aber nicht so bestimmend wie man es von anderen IPAs kennt. Mehr Malz, Trockenfrüchte, Fruchtkompott. Likör, aber auch Spuren von frischer Melone. Das Bier hat (natürlich) eine ordentliche Hopfung, die bitteren Noten sind aber für IPA-Verhältnisse maximal im Mediumbereich angesiedelt. Schön weich und voll. Die 7,2 % Alk. kann man auf alle Fälle erahnen, sind aber nicht zu vordergründig. Schmeckt mir richtig gut. Aldersbacher sollte das wirklich nicht nur als „Special-Edition“ anbieten, sondern tatsächlich in sein Standardprogramm aufnehmen.

Sehr helle, medium trübe Farbe. Die volle Fruchtdröhnung in der Nase - Zitrusfrüchte, Maracuja, Mango, Melone, ital. Kräuter. Geschmacklich kommt das um einiges reduzierter rüber. Auch nicht so ganz 100 % rund. Bittere Noten nicht zu extrem für ein modernes Pale Ale. Süße Malznoten kommen deutlich verschleiert durch. Schön weich, nicht allzu viel Kohlensäure. Recht frisch und erfrischend.

Klar, hell golden mit weißem Schaum. Blumen und frisches Heu in der Nase. Geschmacklich hell malzig (ziemlich voll), florale Noten, ein Hauch Birne, minimal strohig. Hopfung klar erkennbar, aber vielleicht etwas milder, als es eigentlich typisch für ein Export wäre. Die vorhanden ordentlichen 5,6 % Alkohol zeigen aber, dass man es doch sehr erst mit diesem Bierstil nimmt. Schön weich. Gut.

Bottle from Edeka getränken in Tittling (D). Color: Lightly hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Malty, fruity notes. Taste: Malty, subtle fruity notes, bread. Grainy hints. Moderate sweet, light grassy hopbitterness in the background. Medium body, average carbonation. Refreshing. Nice Kellerbier.

Bottle. Color: Hazy orange-brown amber, yellowish off-white head. Aroma: Malty, yeasty, subtle banana. Taste: Malty, wheat and barley. Slightly sour, hints of citrus, moderate sweet, light bitterness. Subtle notes of banana. Spicy hints. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Nice.

Aldersbacher Maibock, Flasche vom Biermeister, Berlin-Schöneberg. - Wohl mein letzter Bock vor dem Herbstanfang - jetzt verlangt die sommerliche Hitze nach leichteren Bieren. - Tiefes, beinahe dunkles Goldgelb, fast klar. - In der Nase bocktypisch schweres, fettes Malz, dem eine kernige, gedämpft zitrusfruchtige Hopfenherbe von leiser Schärfe Profil verleiht. - Antrunk wuchtig und fett hellmalzig mit fein karamelliger Honigsüße, perfekt austariert durch kernige zitrusfruchtige Hopfung. Satte Malzsüße ringt mit unverkennbarer Saphir-Hopfung. Milder rezent, schwer; leiser wärmender Alkohol. Im Abgang leicht trocken und sehr aromatisch hopfenherb. - Wuchtiger, fett malziger aber auch intensiv gehopfter Maibock, frisch, kernig und mit Tiefgang. Ein Bier von besonderer Güte und ein würdiger Abschluß der Bocksaison. (11.7.2023.)
