Canned 4-8-18. Aroma is molasses, mild char, mild chocolate. Flavor has layers, and layers of deep roasted malts. Roasted backbone, chocolate, coffee, molasses, and a slight note of smoke. Just a hint of ABV. Overall, a classic well crafted impy stout!

Poured up on tap at Caps and Corks where it exhibits a murky mahogany colored body that supports a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up inviting caramel and then booze flowing into molasses and plums. The taste delivers smooth rich barleywine goodness. I get molasses, booze, caramel and then sweet plum and date fruity esters. Yes. Smooth rich excellent sipper

Draught at Sir Veza's, 3/13/18.
Glassy, to minimally hazy, blonde-golden with very slight copper hues and a small, fairly well-retained white head atop.
Pine, grapefruit and juicy nectarine, with more juicy yellow fruit on the way, as it warms. It's definitely a new school WC IPA, with a lot more juice and softness to it, yet it retains a firm, piney edge to it. Malts show light honey, generally good depth and light biscuit on the finish with no alcohol or flaw.
Soft, malty and well-attenuated with engaging carbonation and moderate bitterness. For all PNW hops, this is excellent, though perhaps not as round, deep and juicy as the FW Union Jack IPA I just had before this. Bitterness does build up but I was still able to, enjoyable so, drink two pints of this without any palate fatigue. Do wish there was a bit more hop complexity and juiciness; as it is, it's primarily nectarine, pineapple and strong red grapefruit and pine. But the malts are well-done, supple and nicely dry, leaving a great texture, while carbonation is engaging/tight. No alcohol or flaw.

Pint can pours with a clear deep copper body that has thin gold hued edges and supports a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up the expected crystal malt hit that has a spicy malt infused anise edge to it. The taste delivers smooth sweet malts, a thin ripe cherry ester note and then it slowly slides into a modest yet pleasing spicy almost black licorice like hop bitterness. This attains a nice balance and never gets too sweet or cloying. Solid.
