Brewery draught, 2/11/23. Clear, golden-to-light-amber-bronze. Small, off-white head to ring quickly. This is an interesting one. Certainly not WC hoppy in the nose. Sure, there's pine and citrus but there's A LOT of malt. White bread, honey, biscuit, bordering barleywine. It's not too sweaty, not oniony and not even resinous or sourdough-like. Not boozey, either. Just malt and honest hops. Soft, very malty, succulent, sweet white bread and honey. Lots of yellow fruits with light pine and lots of citrus as well. Balanced without any alcohol. Feels significantly lower than listed. Must be aged for a long time? Not sure how they get it so easygoing. And yet it's not all that hoppy, so I do think the hybrid or approaching-a-barleywine thing is pretty on-point. Whatever the case, it's quite drinkable, too.

Brewery draught, 2/11/23. Lightly hazy, blonde-wax-golden. Small, off-white head. Nose is lemony, with plentiful citrus juiciness and sparse, cracker and biscuit malts. A touch of spicy coconut character in the nose with no alcohol or resin. Lingering honey and graham cracker with meyer lemon lingering. Soft, malty, but very dry with coconut coming off fruity and spicy on the finish and a good helping of lemony-orange hops with moderate juiciness. High attenuation and pretty interesting, but wouldn't mind a little bit more malt depth and/or juiciness. No weird hop character, though.

Brewery draught, 2/11/23. Clear, deep brass-golden. Small, white head to ring quickly. Strong acetic with big strawberry-cherry and vanilla notes. Good oakiness and thankfully a strong brett presence to somewhat balance the acetic character. Despite the acetic, it's got a well-aged, almost white balsamic character with the aforementioned fruitiness (despite there not being fruit here). Strongly sour with heavy acetic and lactic acidity and moderate brett. Very fruity and oaky with lots of vanilla and a strongly malty, supple texture. But yeah, that's sour AF. Whew. Cringing on the finish after drinking a small sample.

50cl bottle pours with a mahogany colored body that supports a tiny tan head of foam. The aroma offers up soft sweetened whiskey booze and then boozy raisins and prunes steeped in oak nuanced booze. The taste delivers similar notes of smooth supple whiskey nuanced by raisins and prune stewed booze spiced oak. I notice the carbonation comes across a little prickly as the molasses and smooth sweet malts are noticed. This is a pretty nice sipper but may benefit from less barrel contact as the whiskey and bourbon notes are a little too forward and seem to swamp out the beer notes a bit.

Pint can pours with a nice deep dark colored body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up some booze mixed with chocolate, reduced sugars, dark roasted malts and then a wad of boubon barrel notes. The taste delivers a nice chocolate fudge note to start and then it picks up molasses, sweetened dark chocolate and then smooth supple bourbon. Toward the finish the booziness bubbles to the surface to help counter and ground the sweeter flavors. This attains a really nice balance in its beer to barrel treatment. This is a solid sipper.
