Cask @ GBBF 2010, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear medium amber orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, white nutty. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, queasy caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. Cask handpull at The White Hart Newenden. Chestnut colour. Lasting thin head. Tasty premium bitter. Good fruity malts. Decent biscuit too. Some spicy hop on finish. But the warming fruit malt is good.

Cask-conditioned at the Sussex beer festival, Seven Stars, Bristol 4/1/2011. Amber in colour with a decent, off-white head. Malty, biscuity aroma with some leafy hop. Flavour had plenty more malt, some apricot fruit and a long, bitter finish. Ok.

Cask-conditioned at the Sussex beer festival, Seven Stars, Bristol 4/1/2011. Reddish amber in colour with a decent, off-white head. Malty, slightly earthy aroma with red fruit and hint of caramel. Flavour of sweetish malts and berry fruit, with along bitter finish. Good.

[500ml bottle from farm shop on the A21] Deep gold, caramel and herbs, oddly reminiscent of the Shepherd Neame Rudolphโs Reward Iโd had earlier in the day but with the flavours toned down. A little on the sweet side with an oddly clammy mouthfeel. Below par.

(Cask at CASK Pub & Kitchen, London) I found this beer disappointing. There was acridness in the taste and it was somewhat off-putting. Also, there was some musty yeastiness in the aroma. Appearance was the best part which unfortunately isnโt much.

Cask at CPK on 15th October 2010. Copper with a white head. Bitter. Fruity start and some grassiness in-mouth. Basic bitter, simple finish. 6.4.7.3.13 Re-rating: Cask at the Elephant, Faversham on 30th April 2022. Clear copper with off-white foam and scant lacing. Malty aroma with nuttiness. Solidly bitter in-mouth and a satisfying, grassy bitter finish. Medium bodied with an engaging mouthfeel. Perfectly kept and exquisite. 8.4.9.5.18

50cl bottle from Chapel Down Winery, Tenterden, Kent. Poured bright gold with no head and some light carbonation; aroma of cider apples and caramel malts; rather thin caramel flavour with some dusty hops; the finish is rather disappointing with no sign of the Cascade, and only some dry herbal hops.
