Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from online. Aged just under two years from bottling. Pours mostly clear peachy gold with a small, fading foamy white head. Lovely aroma, restrained funk. Light-medium sweet flavour with moderate acidity, some lightly juicy citrus fruits, lemon, tangerine, subtle grassy bitterness, sturdy salty bite, a mild vinegar note, background damp wood. Light bodied with quite delicate carbonation. Has a little acetic throat burn in the finish, more citric bite, mild pale wood dryness, a little more salt. Solid lambic overall.

16 November 2019. At 4de Gentse Bierquiz. Cheers to Anke & Pieter! Hazy yellow with a slowly thinning, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of gooseberry, green apple, straw, unripe plum, lactic & lemon acid. Taste has sour gooseberry, apple & plum wrapped in a lemony, softly wheaty character with yeasty-funky accents, bitter straw- & hay-like into the dry, tart, funky finish, more unripe plum, green apple, faint wood & dry hops. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. New-fashioned with an authentic feel to it, likeable!
