1 Litre Bottle - Golden with a faint haze and a white head. Honey, grain, yeast and bread in the aroma. Sweet and fairly hoppy taste with notes of grass, straw, citrus and lime leaves. A fairly hoppy bock in terms of the taste, but the aroma gave no indication that it was going to be so. Refreshing and really nice. Dangerously easy to drink really!

Fläschla (0.375l, label says:Eiche): Deep ruby-amber coloured, presumably hazy, medium-sized and stable and creamy and lacy off-white head, moderate to solid sweet-bitter aroma of dried fruits, dark malt with leathery spots, illusions of wood and vanilla and mild, but well detectable, smoke; pretty full bodied, pretty soft, moderate bitter-sweet flavour; mild, but lingering, drier woody-smoky and fruity-hoppy finish. Chapeau! A veryy well balanced and heavily drinkable winter-warmer...

Fläschla (als Imperial Stout Bourbon): Literally black, big creamy and stable brownish head; dryish bitter-sweet toasty caramelly nose with traces of wood and a certain acidity; moderate sourish-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied, not overly soft; slightly lingering sourish-bitter finish with leathery traces. Not worth the effort...

Tap: Deep golden to light amber coloured, quite stable loose white head, malty to barnyardy nose with a mild, but distinctive spicy-hoppy nose; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, soft as expected; lingering mild bitter finish with a good dash of balancing sweet malt. Franconian quality…

Bottle. Roast, smoke and sherry in the aroma. Lots of oak. Malty sweet flavor with raisin, ooak, sherry and roast. Has thinned, but still quite complex. Green apples in the finish.

Tap only beer, the brewer filled my litre swing top bottle for € 1,-. Malty, buttery aroma with boiled milk. Malty, buttery, hoppy flavor. No carbon. Long hopbitter and milky aftertaste. Nice one!
