Salacia is the partner of Neptune in mythology. Neptune's partnership here has produced a hazy dank amber coloured sour, which although has plenty of lime is low on sour character. It's not a problem though, despite the aforementioned it's quite pleasant, certainly fruity, with lots of lime in aroma and aftertaste.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 19th May 2026, THE NIGHT THAT ARSENAL WON THE PREMIER LEAGUE ⚽️. Hazy copper with shallow pale tan foam and full lacing. A good malt on the nose, with a few citrus zesty notes. Citrus and orchard fruits rounded by candy maltiness in-mouth, and a rewarding fruity finish, still with a prominent malt line. Engaging mouthfeel and a full body.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 15th May 2026. Hazy golden amber with minimal foam and scant lacing. Mildly pungent aroma. Lush ripe fruitiness in-mouth and a finish of fruit salad dessert flavours. Sweet but not exceedingly so. A peppery note late. Smooth mouthfeel and a light to medium body.

Handpull cask at Glasfryn, Mold. Light gold (but not too light, mind), hazy with a small uneven swirl of white head. Heavy vanilla wafer malt notes, some lemon and tangerine, fresh pineapple, a little gooseberry. Bittersweet taste, nicely sharp with the citrus hop notes, settling to a back-of-the-tongue bitter finish. Medium body with very soft carbonation. Very reasonable but I want a little bit more here.

Served by a new girl at the bar, who was adamant it was £5 for a half, when I finally got her to check we halved that number! Golden with a slightly deepening glow, this is session material, easy and quite pleasant through the palate. Hoppy dominant with mild tropical notes.
