Description
Neptune Brewery has been brewing modern beers, inspired by tradition, since 2015. We’re a small but mighty team and proudly independent. Our beers are naturally conditioned and all the “uns” - that’s unfiltered, unpasteurised and unfined - ensuring the greatest flavour in each brew. It also means our beers are vegan friendly as we believe that everyone should be able to enjoy them.

My Hornby set was the IC225. Settles practically clear with a nice head. It's a crisp cask ale with a mildly sweet pale malts flavour, feeling a bit creamy, nothing too stated but quite appealing.

Just found out from a flyer that N Monk have opened a York branch. This one found in the Manchester one, which is a sweetish, almost red ale style bitter, but not bitter at all.

Rochdale Winter Ale Trail 2025 Beer#6 at what is officially Venue 10. Blonde in colour with a small haze. Fruity-hoppy aroma and taste, hints of berry sweetness, and a session beer.

Cask at Brewery Tap, Chester. Pours a hazy yellow straw with a small scummy off-white head. The aroma has malts, traditional hops and corn. In the mouth it is quite bitter with a creamy texture. Flavour is mixed hops, bubblegum and hints of banana. Later on some pine resin and traces of citrus come through leading to a dry and bitter finish. This is quite decent.

Cask at The Harp, Charing Cross. Clear copper gold. Thin foamy white head. Aroma has sweet citrus and spice. A hint of fried onions. Light-medium bitter. Slightly resinous. Spice and herbs. That onion. A tad restrained though. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Boring APA.
