Bottle at Chris_O bottlefest 2007. Amber with beige head. I have nothing to say about this beer. It’s got some syrupy alcohol. Dull.

Clear copper-amber beer with a very large yellowish, dense head. Quite some caramel, sweet, bit earthy & leafy notes; peanuts, bakery oil during frying. Sweetish taste, with again leafy and greenery notes. The sweetness is a bit maple- or maltsyrup in appearance, but it is dimmed by a discreet bitterness, that apart from the leafy, has some hoppy overtones. It’s got a good balance, which takes it over the limit of "usual". Slick, well-bodied, on the verge of syrupy texture. A bit unusual Bock, but fairly well-made and pleasing. Its balance is its point of excellence.Worth looking for! Txs to DerDoppelbock!

Poured clear golden with nice white head. Aroma is light with sweet malts, some wheat and cereal. The taste begins sweet and cereal like and then quickly becomes bitter as the hoppiness runs across my tongue.

(bottle) Hazy orange colour with a fluffy and stable white head. Yeasty wheaty and citrusy aroma with a touch of hops in the background. Slightly sweet malty and citrus/peach fruity taste, not unpleasantly tart and lightly clovy and bitter finish.

Bottle: Deep golden coloured; mid-sized firm head, slowly vanishing, lacing; sweet malty nose (caramel, bisquits), a touch of brandy; the initial slight bitterness is followed by a heavy sweetish-malty flavour with a tinge of bitterness, which ends mainly swett and malty. A good, average Bock, maybe a bit too sweet...........!?

Bottle (thanks to MoritzF): Dark amber coloured, beige, stable head; sweetish malty nose, distinctive traces of molasses, faint traces of coffee and caramel, mild bitterness; sweetish malty start, becoming dry towards the end; sweetish flavour; short, a bit tart and mild bitter finish with a metallic tinge; lacks a bit a fuller body and could be better rounded................
