On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a clear pale golden with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out both a lot of piney hops and sweet cereal malt. Flavour is more hop-centric, with lots of piney hops, some floral and earthy notes. Finished hoppy but low on astringency, with just enough sweetness to balance. Very well-constructed. Great stuff.

Draft pour at the lunchbox. Pours a lighter golden color with a patchy foam head. Piney hops aroma. Bitter flavor throughout, but not overwhelming. Crisp flavor with a decent amount of hops. Pretty good.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a dark mahogany with a tiny tan head. Aroma brings out loads of piney hops and roasted malt. Flavour is well-balanced, with loads of piney hops and just enough roasted malt. Quite harsh in a nicely robust way. Really well-balanced, very hoppy CDA.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Amber color, clean, with compact head. The aroma has some fruity esters, it’s sweetish, with caramel. Good body strength, lean mouthfeel, with just light sweetness; mild caramel base, with a vague presence of vegetables and spices. Strong bitterness with a bit of chicory.
Not exciting.

Appearance - 10 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5
Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Dark mahogany color, with small compact head. The aroma is too mild, not much comes through. Good body strength, less than expected though; some caramel flavor, with light residual sweetness, but also a fundamental vegetable character; lightly nutty in the final, oily, with some boozy alcohol, and low bitterness.
Despite the name, this has very little Belgium in it. Rather cloying.
