Cask at Tapps Llandidno. Aroma is sweet. Stonefruit. Syrupy. Clear gold. Thin foamy white head thins out. Light-medium bitter. Resin and stone fruit. Then develops a big fruity Syrupy sweet streak. Underlying herbs. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Enjoyable flavoursome lower ABV pale.

500ml bottle from Purple Moose, Betws Y Coed. Pours gold with a faint mist, white froth atop. Aroma is lightly sulphurous, herbal. Taste bears some curious off-notes that are hard to place, mild spice, strange sweetness, perhaps a hint of oxidisation. Not quite cutting it unfortunately.

500ml bottle bought from the brewery and drunk at home. Reddish rose/gold, clear with a quickly disappearing head. Light aroma of cherry lip gloss and raspberry syrup. Sweet taste with spicy notes from the rye. Sweet berry flavours in the aftertaste with a light vegetal note. A it watery and a bit flat. It's drinkable but messy.

500ml bottle from the brewery. Reddish brown and clear with the tiniest ring of off-white head. Light aroma of oak, caramel and stone fruit. Taste is sweet and lightly spiced with bitter hops closer to the long finish. Plum and date in the aftertaste. Carbonation is on the heavy side. Decent although not getting so much of the Belgian yeast.

330ml bottle bought from the brewery and drunk at home. Light reddish brown with a clear body and a ring of off-white head. Light smell of dates and fruity caramels. Taste is sweet at first but there's a gentle hoppy bitterness toward the finish. Light body for the ABV with medium to high carbonation. Decent enough dubbel but I'm surprised by other's high rates.
