Surly: The frustration we felt when we couldn't find a good beer, much less a great one, in Minnesota. So we made some.
Great beer is all that really matters. Well, that and pushing your limits a bit, looking out for your people, taking pride in where you’re from, and having as much damn fun as you can while doing it.

0.75l bottle courtesy of Buckeyeboy, enormous thanks. Should've been my 20k in lack of special beers brewed for that, wasn't, then was randomly opened by Hrabren and Ogi while I was in an adjacent room, so it won't even be for 20k rated beers. So sad. Still, phuket, one big bottle gone from the fridge! So, let's go. Very dark brown, murky body, traces of an off-white head. Pleasant aroma, without almost any oxidation, combining dried fruit, red fruit and some acetic touches. Lean, soft, tart, mildly acetic taste, bit bretty, some malty touches, dried fruit, very well balanced, funky, very drinkable. I would almost say chuggable.

0.75 l bottle kind courtesy of Marko, shared with Ogi and him, thanks. Dark amber to purple, small off-white head. Aroma is dark fruit, black currant, dark cherry, some red fruit and berries. Cocoa and chocolate. Funky, bretty, lightly cheesy, goaty. Soft earthy notes. Vinous, oaky. Intense sharp sourness, grapefruit skin, astringent, biting. Nice red fruit skins, tannic, oak barrel. Medium body, soft to moderate effervescent carbonation. Roasty and zesty bitterness. Soft vinegar notes. Lasting finish.

Tap at Navigator. Not sure how you manage to make a 5.5% IPA taste sugary and dextrose laden, but they did it. Bold Mosaic, but such an undesirable body. Has that gas station IPA feel. Not that good.

Opaque colour, smallbeige head. Roasted sweetish bourbon aroma. Medium-bodied. Smoot, roasted vanilla bourbony flavour. Good! 4oz 3 bucks!

Aromas and flavors are mainly lightly sweet malt with a barrist hint of hop. A little bitter, okay body and carbonation. Drinkable and forgettable.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx Hazy golden, fizzy head. Aroma of grapefruit soda. Sweetish with light body and clean mouthfeel. Like a spritzy, lemonade heavy radler. No bittterness. Lifeless and void of everything likable.

Solid nice hop juice.
Quite true to style.
Cloudy yellow and a fine head.
Fine intensity in the aroma.
Not to sweet either. Ok carbonation level.
Tropical, citric and pine

Ystad Tasting (25/11/2023) - sweet chocolate malty with some prominent raspberry coming through, some vanilla and whisky kissed wooden ascents evident, full bodied, raspberry accented dark malty into the close. Lovely.
Ystad Tasting (25/11/2023) - dark sweet and roasted malty with lots of bourbon action, some chocolate and some caramel and toffee malty sweetness, full bodied, bourbon and vanilla coalesce into the dark malty finish.
