(swing top bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, orange-golden colour with a big and slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly dusty, sourish fruity and wheaty aroma with distinctive notes of apricot, accompanied by a whiff of clovy spice. Quite sour and delicately sweet flavour, rather light bodied with a well-carbonated, mildly prickly mouthfeel. Present wheat character with fruity notes of apricot, citrus and a tinge of banana; a tad slim sour-fruity finish with mildly phenolic spice. Refreshing. 10.VII.16

50cl flip-top bottle at Bierteufl, Vienna. Pours very hazy murky orange with an off-white head. Rather mild aroma with notes of not-quite-so-ripe bananas, wheat and hints of cloves and yeast. Moderate sweet with mild flavours and a light acidity. Medium body with carbonation slightly on the lively side. A bit watery and anonymous, but refreshing enough. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hell - Das Original on 26 Jun 2016 at 18:21 - Score: 7

Ein recht solider Weizenbock, der tolle Fruchtnoten hat, welche durch den gezielt eingesetzten Alkohol schön untermalt werden. Es hat zwar einen schönen tiefen Geschmackston, der aber etwas ausgewogener sein könnte.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Tom L. Cloudy yellow with a white head. Nice fruity esters aroma with lots of banana, a bit of apples and citrus. Slightly sweetish flavor, with a tart hint, with fruity esters, bubblegum, and a light spicy note. Light to medium-bodied. A nice Hefeweizen.

Bügelverschlußflaše(333ml): Golden, cloudy, mid-sized creamy and lacy white head; sourish wheaty and fruity nose with a delicate clovey toich; moderate sourish-sweetish flavour, backed by a certain bitterness, almost medium bodied, creamy MF; moderate sourish-fruity finish with a mild, but distinctive hoppy "tail". Astonishingly well drnkable and refreshing…

Bottle from a trade with Werckmeister, many thanks! Dark orange/amber color with big fluffy head that goes down surprisingly quickly. Aroma is bananas, some plums/figs, a bit nutty/sherry, ok, granted. Taste is more bananas, but also more dried dark fruits, and a weird freshness. Tart finish, fizzy carbonation. Not bad, but there’s Weizenbocks I like more.

500 ml bottle as "Die Weisse Bock" at 6.8% ABV, bought at Die Weisse brewpub.
Brownish-amber, cloudy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of clove and other spices, banana, orange, citrus, marzipan, bread.
Tastes of dried fruits, spices, ripe banana, orange, some citrus, bread, marzipan.
Quite full, creamy mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes spicy, yeasty, bready, fruity, a bit sweet malty, with some alcohol warmth.
Very nice. A quite typical Weizenbock, nothing outstanding maybe, but quaffable and with a full body. I like the marzipan notes. Overall among my favourite beers from this brewery.

330 ml bottle bought at Die Weisse brewpub.
Brownish-copper, hazy body, with a big, fluffy, beige bead.
Aroma of ripe and dried fruits, sour fruits like green apples and citrus, lemongrass, spices, some banana, bread, some marzipan.
Tastes of ripe and dried fruits, ripe banana, marzipan, sweet bread, again some sour fruits like apples and pears, spices.
Full, creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes quite dry, a bit alcohol warming, spicy, fruity, malty, slightly sour, with subtle hops.
Tasty. Unique stuff, with a very interesting combination of a marzipan like maltiness, spices, sweet fruits and even sour fruits, which fit very well. Not sure if the sour notes are intended, but I really like them. My favourite beer from this brewery so far.
