Bottle from Spar Beer advent calendar 1/24 So this is Christmas for adults. Clear gold, no to little head. Taste is getting close to euro standards but slightly above average thanks to slightly higher bitterness. Next?

500 ml bottle at 4% ABV, bb 10/09/17, at Die Weisse, Salzburg.
Light orange, hazy body, with a big, frothy lacing, white head.
Aroma of citrus, orange, banana, some tropical fruits, vanilla, spices, some bread.
Tastes similar
Light, slick mouthfeel, with a fizzy carbonation.
Finishes hoppy, spicy, citric, a bit yeasty, a bit bready, slightly bitter.
Really nice. Very fresh, with the typical Weizen aromas, combined with crisp, fruity hop notes. Lighter bodied, but still fully aromatic for the low ABV. Perfect summer beer.

500 ml bottle from a supermarket in Salzburg.
Golden, clear body, with a small, frothy, off-white head.
Aroma of flowers, grains, honey, sweet bread, some herbs.
Tastes similar, with some more cornish notes.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes moderate bitter, floral, herbal, grainy, a bit sweet.
OK. Clean, fresh and easy, with the typical aromas of an Austrian style Helles/Märzen. Nothing wrong with this, while also nothing special at all, tastes like many others.

Draught at Die Weisse, Salzburg.
Dark brown body, with a big, creamy, lacing, beige head.
Aroma of banana cake, bread, toast, some chocolate, some dried fruits.
Tastes quite similar, with more of the chocolate and cocoa, even subtle coffee.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes smooth, medium sweet, a bit roasty-dry, bready, toasty, with ripe banana, cocoa.
Very nice. Smooth and diverse, with sweet banana notes and lovely dark chocolate and toast notes from the dark malts. Very quaffable stuff, great style example and one of my favourite beers from this brewery. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Fastenweisse on 17 Mar 2015 at 17:52 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7. Original review text: Draught at Die Weisse brewpub.
Deep brownish, cloudy body, with a big, creamy, lacing, beige head.
Aroma of bread, marzipan, ripe banana, dried fruits, subtle hops.
Taste follows this pretty much.
Medium, slick moutheel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes smooth, bready, sweet malty, slightly hoppy.
Very nice, quaffable Dunkelweizen. The marzipan like malt notes are really enjoyable, but not too dominant, so that it doesn’t get too sweet and always easy to drink. One of the better beers of this style I’ve had.
