Frischer, bitter hefiger Antrunk. Die Hefigkeit nimmt dann schnell ab, auch die Bitterkeit und die Getreidenoten weichen schnell und geben den wässrigen Grundcharackter frei. Mild herb, süffig. Kann den guten Start nicht halten. 12/7/7/5/10/6

Swing-top-bottle at Café Landtmann, Vienna. Cloudy golden yellow, large white head. Malty and wheaty with yeasty fruity accnets. Medium-bodied, lingering finish and pleasantly smooth carbonation.

330 ml bottle from Bottle Shop, Salzburg. The only bottle they had, which wasn’t intended to be sold, but they kindly sold it to me nonetheless. Thanks a lot!
Bottle has no infos unfortunately, only a label with the name and a picture of hops and grapes.
Dark amber, bit brownish, murky body, with a medium, unstable, frothy, beige head.
Fresh aroma of grapes, wine, sweet barrel notes, barnyard, sour apples, some sweet malts.
Taste is sour, with dry wooden barrel notes, white wine, grapes, sour fruits, some berries, subtle wheat and banana notes.
Medium to light, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes sour, dry, wine like, a bit alcohol warming and with long-lasting wooden barrel notes.
Tasty, refreshing and quite easy to drink. Flavour isn’t as complex as the really lovely nose, but also has pleasant wine and barrel notes, with notes from the base beer (a Weizenbock) coming a bit from the background. Very nice to see a brewery, that only brews traditional wheat styles mostly, do such a beer.

Draught at Alchimiste Belge, Salzburg.
Dark amber, hazy body, with a massive, creamy, rocky, lacing, white head.
Light aroma of bread, sweet malts, sweet berries.
Taste is quite watery and doesn’t add anything to the above aromas.
Light, slick moutheel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes soft, bready and sweet malty.
Boring. Not what I expected. Much too light and without any interesting aromas.

Draught at Die Weisse brewpub, Salzburg.
Orange, cloudy body, with a big, lacing, frothy, rocky, white head.
Aroma of yeast, spices, hay, banana, bread.
Taste with the same aromas and also a lot vanilla.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes bready, spicy, sweet malty and a bit fruity.
A very solid, quaffable Weizen, without anything special, but with a nice balance. Maybe the vanilla notes are slightly too much, otherwise I Iike the hay and bread notes a lot.

From bottle at Die Weisse brewpub, Salzburg.
Orange, hazy body, with a big, lacing, frothy, white, head.
Light aroma of yeast, hay, grains, spices, subtle fruits.
Taste is quite watery, with about the same aromas and some more bready notes.
Light, slick mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes grainy and a bit spicy
Typical alcohol free Weizen, watery and one-dimensional, missing the malt body. But I’ve had worse.

Draught at Die Weisse, Salzburg. Deep orange, hazy body, with a big, creamy, rocky, white head. Sweet, perfumy aroma of dominant vanilla, flowers, orange, esters, some grains. Taste is about the same. Mouthfeel is medium to light, slick, with a moderate carbonation and it finishes moderate, sweet, slightly bitter, estery and fruity. Not bad, but unbalanced. The sweet vanilla is just too much and except some flowery notes the Amarillo hops don’t really come through.

Draught at the brewpub. From old notes. Medium dark golden color, cloudy. Fruity, slightly tart aroma. Sour-type weizen flavor. Fruit, banana. Different, dry. It is good.

According to lady at the brewery made by Schonramer. Tap @ Die Weisse, Salzburg. Clear yellow with a white head. Clean and dry. Grain and grass. A little conservative but very tasty!
