Dark brown. Thin head. Light chocolate, rye, fruity, vague coffee. Not intense for impy, but just a nice stout.

Dark brown. Thick nitro head. Thin, crackery, husky aroma. Sweetish, light body, touch of chocolate, nutty character, pretty bland actually.

Dull light brown and flat. Fudgey, slightly tobaccoey aroma. Thin, harsh. Husky, not much fun on the palate and the rye is kind of heavy-handed.

Dark brown, soft dark sugars and tangerine, almost smokey, intense with ashy taste and lots of bitterness. Rough around the edges.

Centennial. Hazy light tan. Centennial. Nose is grapefruity, light biscuity malt. A bit thin, husky character, touch of diacetyl late?

On tap at Flying Lion, pours a murky dark mahogany brown with a small tan head. Aroma reveals notes of toffee and subtle dark fruits. Flavour brings out cough syrup and other medicinal notes, along with caramel underneath. Something off about this - not authentic at all. Not an absolute disaster, but not good at all.

On tap at Flying Lion, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of chalk and lightly burnt roasted malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with roasted malt, chalk and dry unsweetened cocoa. Something off here, as with the Chocolate Cherry Stout. Not good.

4.1/10 Appearance 8 Aroma 4 Flavor 3 Texture 4 Overall 3.5
On tap at Flying Lion, pours a murky black with a small tan head. Aroma is odd, with chalk and bitter cocoa - not getting any cherry. Flavour is messed up a bit, with chalk, vegetal notes, and bitter cocoa. Something had to go wrong here - shouldn't be sold. Train wreck.

6.9/10 Appearance 8 Aroma 7 Flavor 7 Texture 6 Overall 6.5
On tap at Flying Lion, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is quite earthy, with light roast, a touch of rye, and light spiciness. Flavour is spicy and fruity, with earthy roasted malt, spiciness from the rye, and light berry-like fruitiness. Medium-bodied, robust, but low drinkability due to the rye. Good, just not a fan of the harshness that rye brings.
