Draught at the brewery
Brown color, but the flavor profile is indeed closer to an Amber, dark caramel, not too dry / not too sweet, with light nuts, light fruity touch, and correct bitterness. The aroma is too mild.
Correctly brewed, not too exciting.

Schooner at brewery. Pale and clear beer. A little wheat like aroma, low hop. Flavor is a biscuit dull white bread. Lightly effervescent body. Dull but I guess that’s the point.

Schooner at brewery. Strong head retention with strong lacing. Surface covering with a nice thickness. Orangish copper color, clear. Aroma does have a fruity, citrus Aroma - it’s a bit perfumey but not natural. Well matching citrus hops bounce around the nose. Flavor has present but light bitterness. Less of the fruit and more of a bitter citrus peel. Doesn’t taste 8 abv. Very clean finish, no extraneoua leftover sugars or off hop flavors. But for a fruit IPA, as is the fad right now, it false a bit short.

Schooner at brewery. Head lasts a while but no lacing. Brown color, low clarity due to tint but a clear beer. I love dunkel weizen as a style and this fits my bands of likeitude for the style. Moderate dark banana esters aroma. Lightly sweet banana bread. Flavor has a much cleaner American flavor with lighter esters and dark breadiness. Well attenuated and short finish with no hops visible.

Schooner at brewery. Orange copper color. Strong head retention. I like it, not a lot of rye. I think it’s the same hops as the Another IPA but a little leaner body due to less malt. Orange and piney hops. A sharp and bitter finish, again lean. I’d want less bitterness and more fruit as the nose shows off. More importantly I’m drinking this at the brewery with my wife and my 18 day old baby. This is her first brewery. Congrats Flying Lion.

Schooner at brewery. I was very skeptical and concerned going into this beer. Fortunately, its not as adjuncty as the name makes you think. Its subtle coc and raspberry, and natural. Otherwise, a lightly slick, Belgian biscuit malt beer. Not really a saison at all. I could do it again b/c the adjuncts are light and the beer is fine.

On tap at The Local in Bellingham, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma reveals notes of Belgian yeast and a touch of candied sugar. Flavour has notes of Belgian yeast, candied sugar and dough. Not authentic at all. Inoffensive but not very pleasant.

Growler at RBSG! Just kidding. I wish I was there. Draft pour to a schooner at Flying Lion. With Eugene. Clear golden pour with a thin oily head. Flavor is sweet up front, and bitter on the tail. Grassy hop late finish.

It’s definitely a pilsner but one that’s not quite as lagered as I want it to be. Just a little too thick, not crisp enough, a little heavy bodied. Hop character seems nice but it’s overpowered by the strong malt character.

Batch 2. Lots of lacing, dark orange body. Fruity tutti hop aroma. Moderate hop bitterness. Some sweatiness, oily hops. Pretty clean otherwise.
