Description
You can come get to know our beers and the people behind them at either of our two locations.

Our original brewery on Lincoln Avenue is home to our Brewery Shop, where you can sample or purchase to-go, and a Tap Room, where you can stay, get a bite to eat and get to know who we are and what we do. You can now also visit our new brewery, on Balmoral Avenue, where we have a beer garden in nice weather and a completely separate food program.

Both locations offer perennials Daisy Cutter, Bodem, Pony Pilsner and Tuna plus plenty of small batch beers released weekly.

A reddish copper ale with a thick lacing off white head. In aroma, a nice herbaceous hops overlaying nice orange pulp, biscuitty malt, quite nice. In mouth, a nutty malt with floral British hops, roasted coffee, lingering bitterness, very nice. Tasted August 6 2011.

Pours clear ruby red with tall looking mocha head. The aroma offers up caramel, some malts, roasted maltiness, spicy yeast and a thin vein of rich molasses. The taste is caramel malts, caramel candy, winter season spices and molasses. It seems to have a rather thin body to boot.

Bottle shared with jcwatts. Pours cloudy amber. White head. Nose of grapefruit, hops, caramel malt, sweet malt and pine. Taste falls flat of the nose. Mostly sweet and caramel malt. Some muted hops and a very quick dry bittering hop finish. Lightish body.

Bottle shared by BA teamizm. Pours with massive lightly tan head over a murky brown body. Aromas of hugely estery, cherry, coughdrops, pear, vanilla, alcohol, almond and a bunch of dark fruits. Flavors are slightly tart, dry, cherries, styrofoam, brown sugar. Lots of esters, craisins, black cherries. Fusel, a bit hot, cotton candy. Medium to lively bubbles, warming and sticky. Not too pleasant for my tastes.

Big thanks to HOPSHUNTER for sharing this barleywine I haven’t even heard of, very cool. The bomber pours brilliant deep dark copper with off white head. The aroma has some apple and dark fruity esters followed by earthiness, pine and spicy hops. The taste is bold with rich pine hops that roll toward earthy hops and spicy hops. To midway and into the finish additional notes of malts and roasted malts join in and help take this into the after taste. Solid American Style Barleywine.

Sampled on tap. Pours a lightly cloudy, yellow gold with a thin, cloudy white head. Phenolic nose, yeasty esters, bananas, light clove, very floral. Flavor was gentle, sweet, honey, flowers, light fruit, very light spice, a little grass. Medium bodied, lightly chalky finish. Did not remind me of a saison, no pepper, only a light sweetness. Seems like they may have been unsure in their expected outcome. Drinkable though.
