22oz bottle-thanks to jtclockwork for sharing–pours an off white head and amber color. Aroma is pine/bubble gum/resin, sweet medium malt-some caramel. Taste is pine hops, slightly sweet light/medium malt-some caramel. Light body and quick finish.

Purchased at Half Acre Brewery, enjoyed with a good friend while hanging out on his 30th birthday. Appearance is a dark red/brown with rich off white head that laces to the glass. Aroma is heavy on the malts and hops, bit of spices as well. Taste is heavy on the malt, not so much caramel though, maybe a bit bready. Definitely heavy hops, rich in body, medium carbonation, nice bitter finish. Thought this was pretty good.

16oz can pours a translucent light brown with a creamy, lacing, slightly off white head. Nose is classic bitter, earthy, floral, vegetal, a little malty, metallic, crackers, biscuits. Flavor is bitter, lemons, orange peel, malts, crackers, a little caramel at the tail end. Medium bodied, lightly watery finish that has just a bit of a bite in the corners of your mouth. Not bad. Close your eyes and you’re drinking an ESB, nothing hybrid about it.

22oz bottle pours a hazy, ruby red with a cloudy, beige head. Nose has cherry cough drops, lightly sour, some burnt sugar. Flavor is cherry, a little celery, some light caramel, tomato. Almost tasted a bit like a bloody mary. Medium bodied, vegetal finish. Kind of gross.

22oz bottle pours a hazy, burnt orange with some fizzy white head. Nose is overly boozy, whiskey, saltines. Flavor is like the liquid that surrounds an oyster, salty and a little savory, caramel. Full bodied doesn’t really describe the heavy mouthfeel. Hard to drink.

22oz bottle scored the BA Gang Bang BIF. 22oz bottle pours a translucent, deep mahogany brown with some creamy, beige head. Nose of brown malts, brown sugar, some pitted fruit, whiskey. Flavor is a little harsh, really sweet and boozy, light brown sugar, a little caramel, a little breakfast cereal. Full bodied, boozy finish. I thought this was a good idea that was poorly executed.

A dark reddish copper ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma,wild Brett and ground cherries, epsom salts, not bad. In mouth, a harsh malt with astringent corky notes, ground cherries, a bit of horseblanket, butterscotch. On tap at FoBAB 2011.

Sampled from the tap at 2011 FOBAB. Poured a near clear deep gold with a white head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma had a bit of funk with some light fruits, specifically currants coming through with a bit of tartness and rye underlying. Flavor was a bit thin with a light tart currants and rye that made for a slightly odd combination.

Sampled from the tap at 2011 FOBAB. Poured a nearly cloudy earthy amber with a yellowish tan head that dissipated slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of tropical fruit with some funk and a bit of backing musty wood. Flavor is quite thin with some tart tropical fruit and a bit of lacto, but really not too much.

Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, light to moderate hoppy, moderate yeasty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration.
