Pours light amber, some white foam and aggressive bubbling carbonation at first, sets down pretty soon. Aroma is not very spectacular, has this sweet wet paper cardboard aroma but nothing offensive. Taste is actually not that bad, it has some smooth malt-forward bread beginning and ends up in a quite serious lingering bitterness. No aroma his used but definitely fair amount of bittering ones. Overall, not a bad try from the big guys, can imagine myself drinking this again. Well, maybe.

Can. Nice citrus nose, light biscuity malt, lemon, grass, crackers. Deep orange to gold. Sweet, but low bitterness. Decent, though it’s really just an APA.

Can. Deep orange-amber with a low, fine head. Malty nose, caramel, sugar. A bit weird and fake aspect to the caramel. rich malt flavor, brown sugar, caramel. More like a Vienna. Decent enough, though a bit full and the caramel is a bit fake.

Can. Creamy malt and biscuit nose, light noble hop aroma. Deep golden-orange color. Sweet and malty flavor, bready. Some citrus and grass. A bit sweet and full, with a somewhat soapy finish and rather unpleasant after taste. Ok.

Can sample at a tasting at Stas’s place. Thanks Stas. Clear orange. Aroma of malt, caramel, vegetables. Sweetish flavor with caramel and a bitterish finish. Light to medium-bodied. Not a Brown Ale.

Pours yellow. Aroma is not to strong, somewhat artificial bit has a bit of damp hops and some fruity notes. Not too bad actually. taste is also edging between being an ale or a lager. Overall, OK, quenched my thirst. Didn’t provide much more than that but I can see myself buying this again if there is not much selection.

Can from conbini. Drank straight from the can. Light citrus and pine aromas upon opening. Taste is more like a pale lager. Very bland with a touch of cardboard. As it warms up some of the citrus and pine come out. The malt is there in body, but this is pretty sad attempt at a pal ale. Just not enough flavor on the palate. Ales for people who don’t like ale I suppose. --- Beer merged from original tick of Craft Select Pale Ale on 31 May 2015 at 14:46 - Score: 4
