Can. Rather lame nose of sweet caramel and molasses, and a bit of dark fruits. Pretty enough--deep amber with orange, clear, nice head. Roasty caramel in the mouth at first, moving on to something quite like peanuts. slightly roasty finish. Rather thin body. Well, what did I expect? Not completely terrible, but no thanks.

Can from Aeon Supermarket. Malty, caramel nose, chocolate. Simple and faint but decent. Medium amber, clear, fine, tall head. Nice rich malt flavor, chocolate, caramel, good earthiness to balance, enough bitterness. Decent malty flavors, not really sweet, could maybe be a bit richer. Well made stuff from the big guys, though.

Nice gold with a high, fine, bubbly head. Decent nose, lemon hops, light bread, clean. Nicely hopped, with lemon and grass, and rich malts. Some grains and caramel. Nicely fruity, and good body too. Like a richer Premium Malts, with a bit of booze and good hops. I have no problem drinking this.

Can bought from a Seven eleven store in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki, Japan. A golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Malty, hoppy aroma. Tastes malty, hoppy, hint of sweetness. I rather like this, I drank quite a lot of it on my recent trip to Japan.

(on tap) Clear golden with good head. Pleasant aroma. Nice mouthfeel, light body but not watery, with nice carbonation. The flavour is slightly disorienting. It has some decent matliness and it has some nice hoppiness and there is some bitterness in the finish, but it somehow doesn’t seem quite right, as though the separate parts of the flavour have been isolated, tweaked and then put back together. Overall this is definitely drinkable, and compares well with mainstream beers in the region, but is somehow a little odd.

Can. Nose of hop citrus, metals, sulfur. Pale yellow color. Lemon flavor, not much happening, more sulfur. Not very beer-like.

33,4cl bottle at The Bier Bar in Kuala Lumpur. Light golden with a white head. Malty aroma with caramel and hints of hops. Sweet and malty, but quite drinkable in the heat. (2012-05-04)
