355mL bottle, pours hazy orangey gold. Aroma of apple juice, butterscotch and candied sugar. Flavour is dominantly apple juice, sugar, butterscotch and some barrel-like notes. On par with the regular one.

Dark brown color; almost no head. Very nice aroma, mildly roasted malts, chocolate, a bit fruity too; new leather, very light phenol. Smooth mouthfeel, good mild chocolate flavor; there is something more, maybe the coconut, subdued but nice, and some coffee; the final is drier; correct bitterness, with a fairly good hopping. Very good session beer.

Has a very nice ruby-red body and a good pillow of antique white head. The aroma is all kriek-style fruity syrup, not in the league of Cantillon but more in the league of Lindeman’s.... so what did I give a Lindeman’s Kriek? Oh, probably a six. I’ll assume it’s a six for aroma. The flavour is an odd mix of berry flavours that are muted by some odd cloying detergent crap that is just totally dragging the experience down, man. Somethin’s just off in this one, and it’s a shame - I was hoping to experience at least a British Columbian version of a mass-produced Belgian Kriek, but instead got a fruity mess that is just all over the place. I’ll still finish my 650ml bottle, though.

Nice black body with a faint ruby hue; okay bit of beige, the darker variety, sitting on top. Aroma is roasted barley, roasted enough to provide some spicy notes and no apparent sweetness. Flavour is a bit over-roasted for barley, almost turning into ash and not converting into some of those nicer stout flavours; alas. Mouthfeel is a little weak too. It’s a below average porter.

I’m an avid disliker of coconut flavoured products of all types, and yet when presented with a coconut-flavoured beer my masochistic side jumps to the fore and demands to know what it could possibly taste like. Has a decent black body and barely any head. The aroma is all subdued barley. The flavour - well, there’s the coconut, almost entirely coconut, with some vague porter notes in the back. It seems well balanced, and the coconut isn’t as awful as I would have expected; the chocolate-coffee barley notes and the coconut tend to work all right together, and I find it drinkable, even as an avowed hater of coconut.

Dark black body with barely any head. Aroma of fruits mixed with roasted barley. Flavour is syrupy sweetness and a hint of barley in there. Way too sweet, like sucking back on syrup. Cloying.
