March 2007: 330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Named "Corsendonk Pater - Dubbel". ABV is 7.5%. Bottle conditioned. Deep brown colour, large beige head. Pleasant aroma of dark fruits, caramel, candy sugar, spices and oak, a hint of smoke. Pleasant flavour of oak and malts, some candy sugar and caramel but not too sweet, moderate hops. Nice.

In der 0,75er Flasche. Optisch rotbraun, ordentlich Perlung, schöner Schaum. In der Nase recht unscheinbar, dezent fruchtig. Im Trunk süffig, süß, Toffee, kaum Alkohol zu schmecken, Holzfassnoten, Pralinen, ordentliches Dessertbier, aber wirklich sehr süß.

33cl Fles van Zythotheek. Heldergouden kleur, witte kraag. Licht moutig, iets bloemig, grassig, licht metalig, fruitig en licht kruidig, esters. Lichte body. Degelijk.

Bottle. Clear amber with a good cm of white head that fades fairly quickly. Spiced biscuit aroma with some orange peel. So it tastes, with some brown sugar and dried banana. Lacks a bit of grunt in the middle for its strength. Moderately bitter with ginger and other spices at the end. Not all that dissimilar to the retired 6% version.

Dark briwn, tan head. Aroma of caramel, coffee, vanilla. High carbonation. Taste of dried dark fruits, caramel, resin.

Bottle at Belgian Brasserie Henri, Budapest. Poured a crystal clear yellow golden colour with a lasting frothy white head and lots of champagne bubbles. The aroma is toffee caramel, yeast, light alcohol. The flavour is over moderate bitter, with a crisp, dry, yeasty, toffee, boozy alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

Fles gedeeld door Roelzie. Het is een licht troebel amberkleurig bier met een beige schuim. Het heeft een aroma van gedroogd rood fruit en karamel. De smaak is zoet, caramel en gedroogd fruit.
