0.5 l bottle from local 'Trink & Spare', best before February 2026. Hazy, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, rather yeasty-spicy aroma of banana, clove and some honey. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, rather yeasty-spicy taste of banana, grains, clove and some honey, followed by a short, moderately bitter, gently dry finish. Medium to full body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Nice Weizen.

0.5 l bottle from local 'Trink & Spare', as 'Engel Mai Bock Naturtrüb', best before February 2026. Hazy, amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly floral aroma of honey, grains and hints of sultanas. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly floral taste of grains, honey, a touch of sultanas and traces of lemon peel, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very solid Bock, quite refreshing and quaffable for the style.

0.5 l bottle from local 'Trink & Spare', best before September 2025. Clear, dark mahogany with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter and a bit roasty taste of caramel, toasted nuts, burnt bread crust and toasted grains, followed by a short, gently roasty-bitter finish. Medium to full body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Solid Bock, quite roasty and not too sweet, a bit monotonous and plain though.

500ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish, golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, snow white head. Grainy, strawy, pale malty aroma, hoppy, mineral overtones. Taste is slightly grainy and strawy, pale malty with low residual sweetness, minimally grassy, mildly bitter hoppy, a mineral touch.
Oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally greasy palate, medium to fine, very dense, creamy, mildly prickly carbonation.
Good mouthfeel, othewise rather grainy and monotonous - meh.

On tap. Il gusto al naso è indirizzato verso l'orzo. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale e la maniera in cui permane è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma è destinato a vita breve. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana fine. Il liquido è di apparenza velata. Il colore è giallo dorato carico. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è non invasivo. La forza gustativa è elevata e la durata è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Il finale è dissetante. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. Sulla lingua si attestano indizi di zuccherino, miele, frutta secca, erba, agrumi e mela.
