Nitro at N4, Whole Foods Williamsburg. Opaque brown-black. Creamy head with heavy lace. Leans sweet, roasty, some lactose. More bitter than sweet, but pretty balanced. Super smooth and creamy on the nitro. Pretty tasty stuff.

Draft at Ginger Man. Orange pour. Solid hop aroma and flavor. On the citrus side. Drinks lighter than expected considering the ABV. Solid.

Beer Boutique, Brooklyn: pours blackish with a beige head. Aroma is coffee in a light way and some light chocolate and malt. Taste is bodega coffee with plenty of cream and not too much sugar. But it is also a beer.

Draught @ Malt and Mold. Hazy bright orange with large creamy white head, faint vanilla aroma, sweetish Belgian yeast taste, thin body, medium finish. A bit on the sweet side, but good.

Draft at Top Hops Beer Shop, NYC. Pours almost black with a small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. Taste follows nose, with hints of lactose and has a subdued peppery finish. Good.

Bottle. Pours clear dark orange with medium foamy whitish head, grapefruit aroma, medium carbonation, lightly bitter taste with citrus aroma, thin body, medium bitter finish. Nothing spectacular, decent IPA.

Pours deep mahogany into a shaker. Off-white head with little retention recedes to skim surface. Overripe banana and clove aromas. Sweet bubblegum upfront turning to roasted nuts before the dry, lasting banana peel finish.

Draught @ Hops Hill. Murky dark brown with very small frothy beige head that disappears immediately leaving a ring behind, faint roasted malt aroma, sweet chocolate cookie taste, low carbonation, thin body, alcohol undertones, medium long finish. There’s an indescribable aroma of stale cookies.
