Tap at Governors Island Brew Fest, 2010. Pours black with a tan, light head. Good roasted malt nose with coffee and milk chocolate. Flavor begins with some roasted malt sweetness, light mocha and some hard mineral notes. Light in body with fine carbonation. Finishes with more charred malts and faint, dry bitterness. Not too shabby.

Location: Sampled at the NY Brewfest on Governor's Island, 6/19/10
Aroma: The nose is fairly light, some malty notes, a bit of spice, yeast, and a light fruitiness
Appearance: This one is a clear golden colored beer with a thin white head atop it
Flavor: The flavor is alright, not bad, just a bit underwhelming, medium sweet, minimal bitterness
Palate: The body feels relatively light, it has a decent crisp/refreshing feel to it
Overall Impression: Overall, I thought this was an OK beer. Nothing too exciting, but not bad either. Hardly something one should rush out for, but from this style you could certainly do worse. Refreshing enough to be drinkable on occasion.

Location: Sampled at the NY Brewfest on Governor's Island, 6/19/10
Aroma: The nose has some sweet and hoppy fruit notes, a bit of resin, and some caramel
Appearance: This beer pours a hazy caramel color with a foamy head atop it
Flavor: The flavor of this one is lightly sweet and medium bitter, citrus fruits and resin
Palate: It has a light-medium body, average carbonation, and the mouthfeel has a touch of creaminess
Overall Impression: I thought this was a pretty good IPA. It seems to be well-made and nicely drinkable. One of the more enjoyable small brewery offerings that I got to try at this festival.

Tap at Governors Island BrewFest, 2010. Pours amber-orange, slightly cloudy, with a medium, white head. Aroma holds grapefruit and resiny hops. Flavor has good sweetness up front, followed by a strong and well-delivered hop profile. Notes of fruit and pine. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes slightly sticky with moderate bitterness. Good IPA, well balanced.

Tap at Governors Island BrewFest, 2010. Pours a mostly clear yellow-gold with a moderate, white head. Grain malt aroma with pleasant, fruity notes. Flavor is sweet with good maltiness and fruits, then a lightly bitter kick to close. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Good beer overall.

Unmalted grain aroma, with a faint hint of oranges. Clear amber, thin head. Kibble and orange flavor, orange peel. This IPA needs some rework, IMVHO.

Dark roasted malt and tar aroma. Black , with a thin yellow head, good lacing. Dry roasted malt flavor, but finishes a bit sweeter. Good mouthfeel. Transitions from a dry irish stout to almost a milk stout. Not as complex as billed, but enjoyable.
