Spuyten Duyvil, Brooklyn tap: pours mahogany with small head. Aroma is spicy as all hell... Yup smells like gingerbread houses. Taste is well the same, which makes this hard to really drink. My friend ordered an EnglisH Pint and we all had to help him finish it. Not really that good.

Bottle, apparently I missed this and the base beer from my notes… from the 2015 Boise imperial stout tasting. Near black pour with a thin ring of beige head. Roast and cocoa, a little sweet fruity bit, and some hints of barrel. Very mild change from the base beer, all I really get is more sweetness and its sort of cloying. Minimal hints of the barrel treatment. A little thinner than the base.

Bottle, old notes from the ’15 Boise imperial stout tasting. Small pour, very dark brown and near black in color, topped with a modest tan head. Roasty and toasted malt aroma, some cocoa, and a little anise. I get a little coffee in the taste, along with the heavy roast… there is something sweet in there too. Thick and viscous mouthfeel. Good.

Draught @ Albion. Slightly cloudy pale yellow with small frothy white head, very faint grape aroma, medium carbonation, sweetish taste with little vanilla like flavor, hint of grapes, longish finish with faint bitterness at the end. Strong and well balanced, interesting grape angle added.
