Bottle. Black with a medium, creamy tan head. Quite soft aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate. The same in the taste. Not heavy by any means, but pleasantly drinkable.

Tap @ in de Wildeman. Did Emelisse buy a bowmore barrel and put every beer he created afterwards on this barrel?? Well, it does pay out. Sweet malty taste, hoppy. Decent amount of bowmore notes, but not overwhelming. Gives that nice little edge to the beer to make it better.

At Borefts BF 2010. Orange gold colour with thick cream head. Yes vry hoppy bitter. Decent. Touch of rubber in the flavour. Not the best of the bunch, maybe too bitter/rubber.

At Borefts BF 2010. Recommended by an American couple who were at the fest. Touch of TCP peat on an otherwise unremarkable aroma. Some toffee. Pretty good in mouth. Touch sweet. BA is pretty soft and done to a good level. Decent, if too sweet.

On tap @ In De Wildeman, last glass out of the barrel so obviously quite muddy. Big rocky beige head with some lacing. Aroma is sweet, spicy, alcoholic and some whisky and sweet fruit. Flavor is sweet, but not overly so. Upon swallowing flavors of ash kick is, leading to an ashy, woody and somewhat bitter finish. Interesting.

Pigs Ear. Bottle. Clear amber beer, residual tan head. Caramel creamy malt with just a little smoke, not a heavily smoked beer. Some tangy hop. Finishes dry. Well joined up and decent.

Bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a pitch black color with a thin brown head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, coffee and a bit of tobacco. The taste is very bitter roasted malts, caramel, coffee, nutty notes and a bitter hoppy finish. A faint bit of booze. Full bodied. Decent beer.

On tap at GBBF 2010. Black colour, no head. Some iodine on aorma. TCP too. Base beer is ok, bI just don’t like TCP. Good intense dark choc. Just too much for me and a bit sweet.

Black with a firm tan head. Aroma of licorice, toffee and caramel with Bowmore character. Intense, sweet and dark flavour with lots of roasted malt, and a bit of Bowmore. Reasonably balanced
