Pours with a coffee black body and a beige head of decent size. Moderate lacing. Smells like dark chocolate and an aggressive amount of good coffee. Some blackberries and raspberries are also present in the aroma. It’s a strong coffee aroma but quite rich, and it doesn’t completely overpower the roasted malt. The malt flavor is on the sweet side but it’s almost entirely overwhelmed by bitter coffee. I’m guessing that this beer was made with excellent coffee, but the flavor has grown somewhat stale, bitter and over-roasted. Finish is mildly unpleasant with coffee bitterness. The feel is thin and watery. The flavor might have worked well with a thicker, fuller mouthfeel, but thin and coffee bitter isn’t doing it for me.

Courtesy of Bierkoning, thanks Edo!
Hazy orange-amber color, small off-white head. Very yeasty nose: fruits and bread. Flavor is also yeast, but also fruity (orange, watermelon). Not "a bock" at all.

30cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Clear dark copper/amber colour, lasting off white head. Aroma of smoke, salty bacon, some fruity notes, caramel. Flavour is light sweet, malty, caramel, smoked bacon, sweet and smokey bitter finish, some alcohol as well. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Just a bit too sweet imo.

Draught Very thick-set, even cream-coloured head over opaque dark red-brown beer. Very roasted & coloured malts, not very powerful aromas. Aromatic, perfumed and fruity esters emerge in the mouth, dark malts with lots of melanoidins, as well as some unrecognisable spicy flavour. Very slick, creamy MF, end is however a bit watery, belying its first impression of a full-bodied rich beer. I would like to taste this next to a Westmalle dubbel on draught. There are unmistakable similarities, if in this case certainly not as complex.
